Headcanons regarding: Rigatello ( 4/? )

Less drabble-y than most of my headcanon posts, more a general run down. I’m dead tired so take all of this with a grain of salt.

Rigatello- or as the mun calls him and will continue to call him, Riga ( though he’d execute anyone for calling him that ), is a 6′2″ electro claymore user. He and Gio share their fair share of similarities in appearance-- The two of them are both relatively androgynous looking, though Gio tends to lean more into cute & effeminate and Riga tends to lean more into... sharp and unhinged. 

Like Giacomo, Rigatello’s hair is shoulder-length. It’s a light green color sort of similar to the cicin mages his aesthetic is based off of, though it’s a bit more Dull. Whereas Giacomo has relatively stick-straight hair, Rigatello is more or less blessed ( or cursed, to anyone with standards ) with nothing but cowlicks after a certain point. His hair falls straight for a few inches and then devolves into chaos with no rhyme or reason. It’s not messy per say, you could comb it as many times as you want and even run your fingers through it-- it simply doesn’t fall Neatly, and will always fall back into its chaotic pattern. 

Unlike Giacomo ( who has mostly taken internal damage in his lifetime ), Rigatello has a plethora of markings on his body where his injuries have been repaired. He wears these scars with great pride. His outfit is similar to Gio’s, though it retains a bit less of a “clown/jester” vibe and leans into more of a ringleader vibe.

Rigatello is... rather unhinged. Morals? He’s never heard of them? Respect for others? Nope. He cackles loud at things no one else would find funny-- he’ll even laugh at tricks and jokes played at his own expense. Rigatello does not attempt to hide his intentions like Giacomo will-- though he’ll often toy with his words, answering things indirectly in a way that might incline others to think a certain way of him. He isn’t incredibly prideful per say, but he is incredibly confident in his own abilities, and in their time working together became increasingly distraught over Giacomo’s success in winning the Fatui’s favor. Riga is rather odd, and he’s very well aware of the fact that he tends to make people a bit uncomfortable. Despite the rambunctious personality he’s not exactly one to seek the limelight- his laugh and loud words might draw people to stare, but he won’t assist in that by sitting in the middle of the tavern, he’ll be sitting in the dimly lit corner watching everyone around him with a predatory level of observation. Given the nature of his task, he prefers to keep out of main areas, favoring slinking through alleys at night to get to where he has to go. The bells on his coat have been silenced, so unlike Gio he doesn’t go jingle jingle when he walks around. 

He’s a bit unpredictable- an ends justify the means kind of guy, and he’ll stop at quite literally nothing to reach that end. His loyalty is to Dottore, and he regards his creator with a sort of reverence that could make the Tsaritsa jealous- and so his true devotion is to his creator first, and his archon second. Riga would throw himself into an active volcano without a second thought if his creator simply asked him to. Alongside being unpredictable, Riga is a bit of a sadist- and in some ways a masochist as well, though this may in part spawn from the fact that, should Riga ever die, he knows he will simply be taken back to Dottore and repaired. Death is not a thing he fears, and so why should he fear pain, either? In terms of his sadism, though, Riga is well aware that humans are not so easily fixed as he himself is-- and he is aware, too, that his fellow automaton does not share the same cavalier attitude towards death. Riga derives great enjoyment in seeing peoples fear- and in using his electro to draw out screams of agony. Riga is very forceful and demanding- He does not give in to other people easily, and he doesn’t expect others to do the same for him- but he derives great enjoyment in breaking others down until they accept his demands.

Anger isn’t something he feels heavily, honestly. Negative emotions are something he does well to suppress within himself, focusing instead on his enjoyment of things- His negative emotions really only show when he goes up again Gio, whose mere presence seems to break down the barrier Riga has put up between himself and his rage and jealousy. 

His relationship with Gio and the thoughts he has has regarding the younger man are something of a delusion.  He truly believes Gio to be lost in a spiritual/emotional sort of sense-- and he truly believes that if he simply drags him back to Dottore to be fixed, then Gio can become happy in his position once more, and the two of them can return to being partners once more. Of course.. there is a part of him that doesn’t want Gio to come back- the jealous part that swings his claymore a bit heavier than he intends to, hoping desperately to break whatever it is in Gio that makes him who he is. Perhaps, even... a part of him that longs to miss those strikes.
